Yes! The Shopify Kiosk can be used outside of the US or Canada currently with mobile checkout only. We are currently working with international payment partners to have Shopify Kiosk accept in-person payments outside of North American in 2021.
Do I need a Shopify Plus plan to use Shopify Kiosk?
Not at all! Shopify Kiosk works with all Shopify plans including the Standard plan. As long as you have an active Shopify account on any plan you can use the system.
Do customers need to sign-in to their account to place orders on the Shopify Kiosk?
Nope! Shopify Kiosk lets customers checkout without entering any information at all for local pickup. For local delivery, customers can use the on-screen keyboard to quickly enter their shipping information. And the best part is all orders for a customer are automatically associated with their email address so even without signing in you can track a customer’s order history for both purchases on the kiosk and your website!
My Shopify store has lots of custom programming. Will this be an issue for Shopify Kiosk?
Not at all. Because Shopify Kiosk is integrated directly with Shopify it does not rely on your online store set up in any way. Your online store will be completely un-touched when you setup Shopify Kiosk and therefore it has universal support.
Does Shopify Kiosk support multiple locations?
Yes! Shopify Kiosk is already in use with clients who have multiple locations across the US and Canada. The system has built-in support for multiple locations so every order gets sorted into the correct locations for your reporting and analytics.

The Eflyn Shopify POS is a custom dual-sided point-of-sale solution that solves some of the pain points of the official Shopify POS. This is available as an option for your staff to use as a point-of-sale system in your store and uses the same technology as the Shopify Kiosk.
Does Shopify Kiosk track customers order history?
Yes! Shopify Kiosk automatically associates every order with the phone number or email provided during checkout. This means that without having customers login to the system you can automatically track order history for customers’ online purchases and self-checkout purchases made on the kiosk.
Can customers scan discount codes on Shopify Kiosk?
Shopify discount codes are fully supported on the Shopify Kiosk. You can distribute discount codes like QR codes to your customers and they can scan these at any time on the Shopify Kiosk to apply the code to their order. It’s that easy!
Does Shopify Kiosk track inventory sold and available for purchase?
Yes! Shopify Kiosk has full support for inventory tracking and manages inventory for purchases automatically.

Which barcode types does the Shopify Kiosk scanner support?
The built-in Honeywell scanner has near-universal support for 1D and 2D barcodes including QR Codes, UPC-A, PDF147, Code 39, Code 128, Data Matrix, and more. The next-generation barcode scanner also fully supports reading codes off of a mobile phone!
Does Shopify Kiosk run on Wifi or Ethernet?
It is highly recommended to operate Shopify Kiosk with an Ethernet connection for maximum reliability and performance. However, it does have support for WiFi in situations where running Ethernet cables may not be possible.
Does Shopify Kiosk work with mobile data? Does it support 5G?
Shopify Kiosk can be setup to work with a wireless carrier using a 4G or 5G mobile hotspot. Please contact us to learn more about this option for connectivity.
Can I put Shopify kiosk outside?

How can I return items purchased on the Shopify Kiosk?
Orders made on the Shopify Kiosk can be returned in the same way as online orders. When an order is canceled or returned online the item is fully re-stocked and customers receive a cancellation notification in the same way as they would from an online order. Shopify Kiosk also has a built-in Voids and Refunds system which makes it easy to process refunds directly on the machine!
What happens if a customer leaves the kiosk without checking out?
No problem! After a pre-defined interval, the kiosk will simply cancel the current order and switch back to playing digital signage advertising.
How can customers pay on the Shopify Kiosk?
Shopify Kiosk allows customers to pay in-person using a certified credit card processing terminal. These pinpads come directly from our payment processing partners which include Moneris, TD Merchant Solutions, Cayan, TSYS, and Global Payments. Customers can either tap their card, use Apple Pay, insert their EMV chip enabled credit cards or simply swipe to complete transactions just like they would at a point-of-sale.
Will Shopify Kiosk work with my Shopify plugins?
Shopify Kiosk communicates with your account directly via direct integration and not through your website. This means that regardless of any plugins you are using on your online store the Shopify Kiosk will work independently without the plugins. Shopify Kiosk does have some support for third-party Shopify plugins, please contact us for full details on which plugins are currently supported.
Does Shopify Kiosk support search?
Yes! Shopify Kiosk has a built-in universal site-wide search. Customers can simply enter keywords using the on-screen keyboard and get back search results instantly on the screen.
Does Shopify Kiosk support video?
Yes! If you are using videos on your product pages Shopify Kiosk will give customers the chance to play them right on the display. And with the high-quality built-in stereo speakers on all Eflyn Kiosks, your customers can get the full experience of your promotional videos.
Can Shopify Kiosk calculate shipping rates for delivery?
Shopify Kiosk has full support for calculating shipping rates, carrier options, and presenting them to your customers at Checkout. You can even define delivery minimums for an order to allow customers to checkout with shipping as an option.
Will the Shopify Kiosk print receipts or send emails after an order is placed?
Yes! Shopify Kiosk has many options for receipt printing. You can enable printing customer and merchant copies of receipts or make it optional after each purchase. After every order goes into your Shopify account customers will receive your standard Shopify purchase notification as well.
How does inventory work on the Shopify Kiosk?
Shopify Kiosk is synced with your shop’s inventory minute-by-minute. So customers can only purchase products in quantities available for sale. Shopify Kiosk works directly with your online store’s inventory tracking configuration. For products with inventory tracking enabled it will check what quantity is available for purchase at checkout and even adjust customer’s cart automatically. It will also disable the purchase of products that are out-of-stock or unavailable for sale.
How long does Shopify Kiosk take to setup for my online store?
Shopify Kiosk is a fully integrated solution which means as long as your Shopify store is active we can have your kiosks delivered and setup in a matter of days! What kind of paper does the Shopify Kiosk printer use?
Standard 80mm thermal receipt paper is supported, which is the most popular size used in POS systems today. The Shopify Kiosk has a built-in front-loading printer that makes it a breeze to change paper without having to open up the entire kiosk. Just use the key to open the compartment, pop-in the new role and you’re good to go!
Can Shopify kiosk be mounted on the wall?
The 32” Shopify Kiosk has the ability to be mounted on the wall using the included bracket system. It mounts very similarly to a TV and has removable legs and cord management from the back.
What happens if I lose my internet connection?
Credit card payment processing requires an internet connection on the Shopify Kiosk. If your internet is disconnected you can continue to use the kiosk to browse collections and view products until the internet is available again to complete the purchase.
What happens to the Shopify Kiosk if there’s a power surge or power failure?
The 32” Shopify Kiosk has a built-in UPS (uninterrupted power supply) which completely protects the kiosk from electrical surges or power failures. It can even allow the kiosk to operate fully on battery power for up to 40 minutes! The 21.5” kiosk can also be setup with an external UPS for the same level of protection.
How much data does Shopify Kiosk use every month?
With the advanced local caching feature Shopify Kiosk uses a minimum amount of data every month for processing orders. However, we recommend an allowance of at least 15 GB per month per kiosk for updating images, product data, collections, etc.
